Happy Holidays and a Beautiful New Year

I want to wish all of you and wonderful year ahead. I hope it is filled with friends, adventures and lovely opportunities. Currently, I have a nasty upper respiratory bug so coughing and sneezing abounds and I've banished all but the cats from the flat except for emergencies.

The last night of Chanukah has been a quiet one, save for my hacking. My male cat, chastened by rain following an unexpected escape outdoors, lies peacefully asleep, a state I can only envy. Chasing him home in the rain was no fun. Neither was the unexpected breaker outage at the main box outside that left only me without power and resulted in my having to pay a locksmith to come out in foul weather to chop a lock off the cover so that the breaker could be re-set and power restored.

Calm prevails at the moment, so I will once again try to sleep. Wishing you all peace and happiness.

May you be deeply entrenched in that finest of gifts, a comfortable sleep as I write this.

Happy holidays, E, and I hope you get rid of that bug. If it's any consolation Dave has been plagued with a persistent cough too. You are not alone! 'Tis the season!

I hope that that bug retreats rapidly and allows you to sleep so that you are ready for all the New Year will bring.
