A long week...

It is Friday 445 AM. The skies are clear and we are dry and safe. Though normal services and routines have been disrupted. I am grateful. Thanks to all for your thoughts and concern and please spare the same for those who were not so fortunate.

No delivery available and looking for H2O

It is rather ironic that I would need a couple gallons of water considering I'll soon be surrounded by it. It looks like I'll be filling jugs as there are no deliveries now...

Ian and where it will go is anyone's guess...

I'm glad I don't live in a flood zone, though I am concerned about the windows. The oversized window in my dining area has a huge tree in front of it...

I've signed up for text alerts, have food, batteries and water, meds and food for Lukas, extra litter and a blow up mattress in case I have to sleep in the small hallway.

I'm checking all the flashlights and my local weather man has advised enjoying the day and watching football...

I should have become a meteorologist...

Another Goodbye...

No, it isn't Lukas. He is fine if a bit grumpy. I've found myself glued to live feeds of the various events and throngs of those paying final respects to Queen Elizabeth II. What a life she had. She even visited my childhood home overseas though it was several years prior to my appearance. I know this courtesy of old film footage and photos someone shared on social media at the news of her death spread.

Modem problems continue here and it may be time for a new one. Nonetheless. I am happy to be on the receiving end of live feed for this and other world events from the BBC, ITV and Sky News.

My heart goes out to her family and all of those who mourn during this time.
