We have been without power since the hurricane made landfall at 8:25 PM Wednesday. I was given a projected date of October 17 for restoration from our power company which as you can tell is ahead of schedule. The fridge needs clearing and the bathroom is a mess but I am grateful that only minor damage occurred to my unit and the windows did not shatter. Mercy isn't herself and I am very tired so will post more when I can. Thanks to everyone for your kind thoughts and concern. Gratefully, E

Thank you for the update. I really, really hope that you get some rest (both of you) and that the power is restored quickly.
Phew! I am so glad that you're okay. I know that must have been really horrible.
