Crazy Eights...

This refers not to a card game, but a neme. I rarely bother with these, but this one is rife with possibilities:

Eight Things I'm Looking Forward To:
-Figuring out the ten grand I need for my chair and getting it done! (Yes, I did say ten grand!)
Getting some extra:
-Play and Personal Time!
-A trip to the beach...
-A new read...Books are like chocolates, sex and massage--I crave them and rarely stop with just one...
-Desperately needed sleep...
-A call from a long-time friend...
-Telling a new acquaintance how good the recipe she had on her blog was and how it saved an otherwise unremarkable evening...
-Finishing a professional project and putting it on my CV...

Eight Things I Did Yesterday:
-E-mailed my brains out...
-Had Insomnia and calmed a yowling cat...
-Meditation outside...
-Reviewed Hebrew lesson...
-Located a lost book...
-Research for a project...
-Listened to some really cool, new-to-me music...
-Gave an ear to someone in need...

Eight Things I Wish I Could Do:
-Pack a bag on the spur of the moment and travel back to the tropical rain forest...
-Write and publish again...
-Use my Spanish more often...
-Visit National Parks...
-Stroll outside and take photos...
-Be more adventurous...
-Remove idiots from office...
-Fall in love...

Eight Favourite Television Shows:
-Blue Murder (British Series)
-Nature (PBS Series)
-Nova (Science Series)
-Mystery (especially the old episodes with Vincent Price or Diana Rigg)
-Masterpiece Theatre (PBS Series)
-Six Feet Under (Darkly comedic and quirky)
-Indie and documentaries from Netflix
-The Librarian

Eight Favourite Foods:
-Fresh, crisp salad
-Eggplant
-All other veggies except Brussels Sprouts
-Blueberries
-Mangoes
-Papaya
-Chocolate
-Matzo with PB&J

Eight Places I Would Love To Travel:
-Across the E.U. via train...living somewhere there indefinitely...
-Across the U.S. via train...
-Northern California...
-Machu Pichu
-Panama
-Along Route 66...
-The Everglades...
-The Canadian Rockies...

Of these, the television programs were a stretch because I watch rarely, preferring to listen to music, read or write as I have the time. I no longer have telly, thanks to the digital transfer and it suits me to watch Netflix selections or the occasional Hulu.

I love Mystery! Great list of 8's. I wish I had ten grand, I'd be sending (at least some of) it your way so fast...

Left a message for my aunt and I'll let you know as soon as I hear back!

Very interesting eights! I'm now curious to know what your new-to-you music was?

Hope all your wishes come true xx

Fantastic list, e! But I do love Brussels sprouts, sorry.

Nova, Mystery and MPT are on my long list, as well!

Been to Peru but not to Machu Pichu. Panama is a bit humid, for my taste; too, I want to travel some more of the old RTE 66 and definitely Northern Cal.

I agree with your assessment of television, as you know. I love Hulu. Nothing better than curling up with a good Mary Tyler Moore or Bob Newhart episode!

I agree with subtorp on the Brussels sprouts -- I love 'em!

Megan,

As always, you are too kind. Thanks!

Karen,

Japanese punk! I hope all is well with you!

Subby,

Even ATCK's have differences of opinions! I'm learning to eat them without first dunking them in mashed potatoes, but may never reach the point of adoration. Best to you and mum.

Steve,

Bob Newhart is in the Librarian series...Uber drole...cracks me up!

Good list.
Did the insomnia occur cause of the yowling cat or the other way round I wonder?

Love these little glimpses into bloggers' worlds. Nice one! Six Feet Under is possibly my favourite TV show ever! As for the chair! My goodness. Here they're provided pretty much free or very highly subsidised by the health system . .$10,000 that's disgusting!

I'm looking forward to that PBS series on the National Parks coming up.
We have a lot of stuff in common here E.
Wanna fall in love?
