And Now, A Brief Interlude From The Planet Of E...

Megan of All I Need Is Everything put up an interesting neme based on the Seven Dwarfs as in Snow White and the...

Because I'm such a lazy cow, and can't come up with anything as remotely interesting, I thought I'd give this a go...

A gentle word of warning...All sarcasm is intended...

DOC:

This has until recently been plural for me. Now, I'm down to the one keeper of the lot. She listens well and unlike her colleagues, tends not to infuriate. I've changed docs like most people change underwear since the majority of them knew less about my life and health than they should.

One such highly credentialed pillock delivered shocking news to my mother forty five years ago when he said that I was unteachable, could not learn and should be institutionalised. As if this was infuriating enough for her, he then pronounced her deluded for believing otherwise. She often got things wrong, but not this, and I thank her departed spirit for this more often as I get older.

GRUMPY:

Her Royal Stroppiness on days I don't get sufficient rest, I am usually quiet unless I know someone well. People sometimes equate my reserve with stand offishness. I let them think what they will and try to live life on my own terms.

HAPPY:

I get really happy over little things these days, like not having to haul the bin bag out to the community dumpster or deal with the recycling since my neighbor handles that. I'm relieved to have the groceries delivered and delighted that my pets get in-home attention from their favourite veterinary technician. Like Megan, I also rejoice in having a washer and dryer in the flat. Now, if only I could get back over the pond for a visit, that would make me supremely happy...

SLEEPY:

The worst thing about being a midlife woman...I feel chronically in need of naps, and I hate being sleepy.

BASHFUL:

NOT...

I've never suffered from bashfulness...My mother taught me to set goals and meet them, a trait that belies being shy. I can talk to anyone and I carefully observe those around me.

SNEEZY:

A condition that developes when I get a nose full of fur as one of my feline friends sticks a paw or two on my nose, usually in an attempt to wake their lazy human for breakfast...an event that is far less appreciated at 4:30 AM than at 6 or thereafter.

DOPEY:

Only in a past life...No dope of any kind for me...
