The girl is enjoying her beauty sleep after stirring me from mine...
I am more than mildly annoyed but have used the time to formulate a list of groceries for the coming days, organized the recycling to be taken out after the truck comes and the containers are emptied and looked at finances. Those inspire another level of consciousness and concentration unavailable at the moment so I decided to try Boud's most recent remedy and turned to streaming an episode of the British doc, Long Lost Family, via Amazon Prime Video.
I've loved the series since its inception over ten years ago mostly because I enjoy the stories. Though thought of as a means of re-uniting lost loved ones, the episode tonight featured individuals and families identifying and laying to rest remains from relatives lost during battle in 1917 and found one hundred years later in Belgium. The nine found received full military honors and their families and others involved got treated respectfully and kindly by the presenters. Nothing maudlin, very unlike a lot of American television these days.
Having been through a full military funeral at Arlington, I could appreciate some of the feelings and scenes in the program. Additionally, I remain fascinated by the doors DNA can open and the opportunities available to us for identification and information it can provide.
I hope you all have a great day. I'm off to bed.

I hope that Little Miss Mercyless allows you to sleep this time.
Sleep well, mercy permitting! That sounds like an interesting premise for a series.
Sorry your annoyed and though, also glad you used the time well.
We don't have Prime or Amazon anything right now and we never had TV so I don't know what's new or old these days.
Glad you're enjoying the show. It's nice to have a good show to watch.
Oh that Mercy!
Hopefully Mercy let you sleep. That's a series I haven't heard of. DNA testing has done a lot of good.
Hope springs eternal...
It is!
I have not had a television in seventeen years, so stream from online sources. I actually prefer to read.
Indeed!
It has!
Sorry that Mercy disrupted your sleep. Sounds like a very interesting show. I will have to check that out :) I am back after my blog break when family were visiting. Great to be catching up again.
