Goodbye...

The youngest of my maternal grandfather's sisters, known to me as Aunt Eunice, passed away in the early hours of this morning at home. Her daughter and a friend were with her. She was just shy of 103 and much loved. Though Parkinson's robbed her of much in her later life. my memories of her include laughter, good times and our now treasured conversations about books, the world and life once she retired. I wish there had been more. Graceful and elegant, she was the soul of kindness.

So sorry. What a long full life and how important she was. Also pretty right into old age. Maybe you can recall for us some of the reading you and she talked about?

I hope you hold onto the good memories - what a beautiful woman she looks in the pictures. Life is so fleeting, isn't it...

I am sorry for your loss, e; your aunt sounds like a vibrant person who lived life to its fullest. I'm glad you have good memories of her to lean on.

And, belated birthday wishes - I missed your earlier post. Hope it was a good day. How is Lukas these days?

What a pretty young woman and a nice older one is conveyed by these photographs. May she rest in peace.
