Lukas just arrived home from a check up. In addition to his kidney and blood pressure issues, he has an ear infection caused by allergy and a heart murmur. The murmur may or may not be permanent, we don't yet know. He is now on five medications. Otherwise, his lungs and blood pressure are stable, and we await the results of blood tests. He is in good spirits and happy to be free of his carrier. He will see the vet again at the end of October for an ear, murmur and blood pressure check, barring anymore unexpected symptoms.

Oh bless him, the little survivor, it sounds like you have a really good vet.

I think that's what counts: is he happy, eating, playing, glad to be home. You're doing a wonderful job with his health, though I cringe to think of the cost you're shouldering.
Go Lukas! Also go, e!
You are such a good cat mother.
All good wishes for full healing!
Jazz had a heart murmur at one of his vet visits. It since seems to have disappeared. He is not a well cat, but rarely seems to realise that. Which is wonderful. Like Lukas he is always very glad to be released from the cat carrier/cage.
Ah, Lukas - you are breaking my heart. I hope the heart murmur is a passing issue.
And I'm glad to hear he is in good spirits. How do you get that many pills into him?
He looks like a regular, happy cat doing cat things. That's good.
Awww, poor guy! He's lucky to have you caring for him. :)
At peace until the end is the goal. Be well e and stay the course.
Poor little guy. I love how animals take so much in stride.
