This morning my builder learned that the delivery of my twenty-inch stove was cancelled by the appliance store. Apparently, when the box was opened before putting it on the truck, it was stainless rather than white, as I ordered. The refrigerator has yet to be located. These were ordered June 3. Why it has taken until today for someone to discover this mistake is beyond me.
The store has said the appliances will be here Thursday or Friday. If I wasn't coughing to the point of throwing up, I'd head to our home center's appliance department, buy another set of appliances and tell Famous whatsis to take a flying leap after getting a refund.

A refrigerator is more important than a TV, but we're on the third time of rescheduling a delivery of a TV we bought to replace the one that got fried by lightning. It's all very frustrating, and must be especially for you because just as you think you're nearing the end of the remodel, there's just one more thing to deal with.
Once again, good luck.
Be thankful they opened the box prior to delivery. The drama could have played out in front of you. My reasoning is usually "They're not paying them to be Rocket Scientists"
Sigh. And hiss and spit.
Good luck. Lots and lots of good luck.
Wow, talk about horrible service. How do places like this even stay in business?
Sighing along with EC ... how many ways can they mess up? They've covered several ways already.
You just had this terrible coughing in the spring, too, didn't you? I remember it was around the same time I did. There was a lot of it around then, right across the continent and in Europe. I heard later that it was a virus similar to whooping cough. I do hope you feel better soon.
Oh, ugh! What a nightmare. And such a drag to deal with when you're sick. Sorry, e....
So sorry you're sick.
Oh brother, how distressing for you along with your cough, did you pick up something or is it the same problem you had before. Refrigerators will land, eventually but I'm like you, screaming: now goddammit.Internally of course.
Fingers crossed.

Good grief. They sure are having a hard time getting it right.
